This frame shop is nestled within an existing brownfield site confined by two major arterial roadways. The solid base of the structure rotates around these existing axial parameters, housing the main retail space, administrative offices, and workrooms. A floating mezzanine proudly adorns this base while the fluid form mimics the motion of our client’s signature collection.
The client requested a compact, multi-functional interior that would maximize street visibility and could be converted from retail to an art gallery with minimal effort. The hinged art walls pivot around exposed steel columns located in the gallery to create storefront displays, as well as adapting to the artisans’ collections.
