St. Helena Catholic Church Pavilion

After the generous donation of a statue of the Virgin Mary from Medjugorje, the St. Helena Catholic Church in Amite, LA wanted to build an outdoor pavilion surround the monument. The structure of the sacred space consists of stained heavy timber, with intricate mortise and tendon connection details. The chandelier overhead and stained-glass cupola centers the space, hovering above the focal point of the holy statue. Adjacent to the pavilion is an adoration chapel, a moment of quiet repose and worship.
